    Journal Description

Journal of Applied Linguistics (JAL) aims to advance knowledge across arenas of inquiry related to the theory, research and practice of Applied Linguistics as a principled, umbrella discipline. The journal welcomes both reports of original research and conceptual articles. The journal stresses, emphasizes and accepts articles that can be theoretical, applied, experiential, case-based or policy-oriented in the discipline and sub-disciplines of Applied Linguistics. There will be 6 issues of JAL a year, appearing Bimonthly in the months of February, April, June, August, October and December. JAL is published electronically on the Internet to allow it to reach a wider audience in the world, while keeping production costs to a minimum, making it possible to grant free access to the journal.
